ANGELO Maligno.

Prof. Maligno holds a Laurea Degree in Nuclear Engineering (University of Palermo, Italy) and a PhD in Mechanics of Composite Materials (University of Nottingham, UK). With extensive experience in R&D, he specializes in the analysis and design of advanced engineering materials and structures under various loading and environmental conditions, utilizing analytical, numerical, and experimental techniques. Prof. Maligno has held academic positions at the Universities of Palermo, Nottingham, and Loughborough and has worked in industry and consultancy in aerospace, defense, and nuclear engineering, including a role at Rolls Royce UTC.

As Research Chair at the Institute of Innovative Sustainable Engineering (IISE), University of Derby, he leads research on nano-engineered hybrid structures for high-temperature and harsh environments in aerospace and motorsport.
