Prof. Stéphane Bordas is a full professor in Computational Mechanics at the Faculty of Science, Technology, and Medicine, Department of Engineering, University of Luxembourg. His interdisciplinary research spans civil engineering, aerospace, surgery, and materials science, with expertise in biomechanics, fracture mechanics, finite element methods, and high-performance computing. Having conducted research stays across Europe and the USA, Prof. Bordas is well-versed in developing advanced computational frameworks to address real-world challenges. His work aligns closely with the PANTAREI project, leveraging computational mechanics to design innovative bio-waste-derived meta-structures with enhanced durability and sustainability for applications in civil engineering and beyond.
