The University of Luxembourg is advancing research in virtual quality check systems, leveraging technologies like virtual reality (VR) and advanced simulations to improve quality control processes. The university focuses on developing virtual platforms that enable real-time inspection and monitoring of products or processes in a virtual environment. Research at the university centers on the areas of digital transformation, medicine and health, as well as sustainable and societal development.  A special focus is placed on interdisciplinary approaches. In 2020, the university founded the Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS), which primarily promotes interdisciplinary research projects.
